📝The aesthetic of a student of knowledge is so pretty and admirable. It LOOKS amazing.
📝The typical vision is that you are in front of the books reading, writing, annotating, sitting at the feet of the scholars, listening to lectures, wearing fancy clothes.
📝These are all of the easy parts to being a student of knowledge. If that were all there was to it, then surely many more could achieve this.
📝However this is not the reality of being a person of knowledge you are not always in the books. Even when you strongly desire to just sit down and study sometimes this will not be the case.
📝At times all of that reading you do must be played out into reality. And this is where the challenges come.
📍Your children will be a test for you.
📍The cooking needs to be done.
📍The house needs to be cleaned.
📍Bills need to be paid.
📍Your husband has needs.
📍Your parents have rights.
📍You get stressed and overwhelmed sometimes.
📍You need a break.
📝This and more is the reality of seeking knowledge it’s not always the serene photos you see on Pinterest. It has its challenges as does anything in life that holds value.
📝Yet and still we must go on and push forward in life despite the challenges.
📝And be aware that those things are actually apart of being a student of knowledge. You can’t just sit in classes and not be tested and carry out your knowledge upon yourself and others.
📝Fulfilling the rights of those around you, taking care of your parents, biting your tongue, making mistakes and repenting, caring for your home, enduring the complaints from loved ones it’s all apart of seeking knowledge. It ain’t always pretty.
