⌛️“Comparison is the thief of joy.”⌛️

⌛️This car is better than that car.

⌛️This woman looks better than that woman.

⌛️This country is better than that country.

⌛️This home is better than that home.

⌛️We have a habit of saying the phrase “better than.” This belief is stealing peoples happiness and peace.

⌛️The belief that when you see or hear something different than yours, you consider it to be “better than.” Different doesn’t always mean better.

⌛️Not to mention that we compare based off of what we see on the outside not knowing what the reality is from the inside.

⌛️Your only competition should be yourself. Who you were a year ago versus who you are now and how you can improve based on your level…..not someone else’s.

⌛️Allaah gives everyone their own abilities, talents, personalities etc so this means we are all unique which also means that comparison can be oppressive upon yourself.

⌛️You compare yourself based on someone else’s level, talents, situations etc how fair is that?

⌛️Now that does not mean we should not aspire. Aspire to be better and look to those that are inspiration and doing good AlHamdulillaah.

⌛️But there is a big difference between being inspired and comparison.

⌛️You can achieve great things after being inspired by someone else whereas comparison just makes you feel bad.

⌛️If you want what someone else has or does, work for it. Learn how to achieve it seek the help of Allaah.

⌛️Don’t run in the “Victim Olympics” where you find every reason not to attain something rather, find every reason you CAN attain the good you are seeking.

⏳Be inspired …don’t compare. How bad do you want it? Go get it! In shaa Allaah Baarak Allaahu Feekum بارك الله فيكم
